The dumplings, soups and salads were very good and my family enjoyed their pad thai. I got the pho special, even though this is a Thai and Japanese restaurant. The pho was pretty good, though they bring it to you with the bean sprouts and basil already in the broth instead of on a separate plate, and they didn't have limes, so they gave me lemons. Overall, definitely A-OK. Good food, good prices, good service, but not amazing. The fish for the sushi looked fresh, but I generally avoid sushi in a place that doesn't specialize in Japanese food.

This is my favorite restaurant in the nation!! The food is phenomenal, management excellent, and very clean! The owner has remarkable talent of making everyone feel at home! When you walk in all the staff greets and acknowledges you! When you leave all the stay say "bye bye bye, have a good day"... My favorite is the spider roll and the yummy drumstick chicken appetizer! I've tried many Thai and sushi venues but none other carry the energy of Thailand like they do here. Leo is the sushi chef and he always amazes my on the speed in which he makes my brown rice rolls! I love Cooper (the owner) he is a cross between Jackie Chen and the attitude of Samuel L. Jackson!

Great reviews led me here. Friendly wait staff with a great sense of humor. Service was quite fast and the food served hot. Unfortunately the dishes were unimaginative and average. Ordered a number of dishes extra hot and spicy and they were rather bland. Honestly nothing stood out.

Found a super long hair baked into the food.....so sad, it actually wasn't bad the first time we went.

Musashi is located in a small shopping mall located on the Northwest corner of North Federal Highway and NE 62nd Street. The shopping/business mall is usually jam packed and parking may often be difficult particularly during the "On Season" period of the year. Musashi is small, specializing in Japanese and Thai foods, eat in or take out, but has a rather complete menu. The atmosphere of the place is OK, nothing special with about 7 or 8 dining booths but a good number of inside tables along with a few two person tables outside on the sidewalk under the mall overhang. One major distraction, or I might say annoyance, however is from those customers coming in to make or pick up takeout orders who tend to stand around speaking loudly or talk on their cell phones while waiting. The quality of the food I've had here has been good, reasonably priced, though nothing that I would consider exemplary. On my most recent visit I had the miso soup and their spicy tuna roll. Both were good and the tuna roll not only came with cuts of tuna roll but also several pieces of sushi and best tasting part, a seaweed cone containing a tasty tuna tartar of sorts, nicely spiced and enhanced with green onion.

This place is incredible. Best shrimp tempura rolls and the chicken teryaki is great!

Amazing thai food with many options. I always go for the curry and my husband goes for one of their noddle dishes. I just wished they had happy hours specials. I also think the food is slightly overpriced

This place is great. I found this place about 6 months ago and this is the only place I go near my job. The service is great and you can also sit outside. If you live in the area, you are missing out if you don't try it!

Great cozy atmosphere. The fish is really fresh and the prices are great. My favorite roll is the Sunshine Roll.

In my opinion, this is the best sushi place ever. I have been going there for many years and I found that the quality of this food is amazing. I have read some of the reviews that says the food is not fresh and I have to completely disagree with those statements. They have some of the freshest sushi and thai food. The staff is always so friendly and the sushi chef leo is nice funny and handsome. My favorite is the volcano roll but I sometimes get the Thai fried rice which is amazing. The atmosphere is cozy which I love. It is definitely a must try!!! I recommend it to all my friends and I think they're just A++

Been going here for 12 years. Very intimate small restaurant with awesome food. Reminds me of being up north. They are very friendly and attentive. You can see it being made almost in front of you. The only and I mean only drawback is even when the place is empty and maybe 2 tables being taken, the servers for some reason always rush you; not complaining and it is just minor, but when having conversations they are always coming by trying to take your plate away every 5 minutes. It may be that is their culture. I am pretty sure that's what it is as you see it in movies as well. But I would think if it was packed they would rush you out but not when its you and 1 other table at 530pm on a Tuesday. Just a tip to the staff that's all. I still go 2x a month. Reasonable sushi roll prices reasonable sake and a very well kept restaurant. Try the volcano roll or dragon roll yum :D

Love this place! the staff is awesome, very attentive & accommodating (and remember you if you go there regularly). Small place, with a great menu. I usually get a few Sushi rolls & appetizers to split with whoever I'm with, but their Thai food is delicious as well. If you are looking for a nice casual place to go for some great Sushi & Thai, I highly recommend.

This is one of the top of the line sushi places. A hidden gem in FTL. The spicy tuna roll here is actually really spicy tuna AND it's that good too. Most places serve this fake orange crap for spicy tuna. This place is legit!

Marcus G.
The best pad Thai and Wong tong soup iv had in awhile!! Also really friendly service ill go back for sure!

Three of us dined here tonight for the first time, based on positive reviews from other yelpers. We're very happy to find this jewel! All our dinners were excellent. All of our dishes were delicious, and the portions substantial. We all agreed that this was a keeper. We'll be back often.

This place is amazing -- I've been coming here for years and will keep coming back! 5 Stars for everything: Service, Thai, Sushi, it's all the best! Fresh, wonderful food and a great staff. Musashi is truly the best sushi/thai in Fort Lauderdale!
(5)
Dawn K.
Can't speak to the Thai food here, but the sushi is quite disappointing. Fish was okay. Nothing special. Rolls seemed to be made with the same rice they were serving with the Thai food instead of sushi rice. That said, it seemed like most patrons were eating Thai, so that must be their strong suit.

Best Pad Woon Sen in Fort Lauderdale! This hidden gem is tucked away in a standard shopping plaza but is worth seeking out for their Thai food. The restaurant is very clean and I've never seen the waitstaff anything but smiling and friendly. It doesn't seat many so it's quaint and intimate. Pad woon sen is one of my favorite dishes and this place has the highest and best quality version in town. While Thai Spice gives you a greasy spicy mess and Tee-Jay Thai charges double what it should cost for a bland imposter - Musashi delivers with the perfect flavors, price and portion. And the gyoza appetizer is so good, we order it twice every time.
(4)
Sarah P.
Musashi is my favorite sushi/thai place in Broward county! It is flawless every time! They have the best red curry I've ever tasted and their sushi is always fresh and delicious. The prices are neither cheap nor expensive... they are middle of the road prices but worth every dime. The service is always good as well.
(5)
Michael K.
Not soemthing to go out of your way for at all. Leave the sushi for anotehrrestaurant; the Thai is okay - not great. Lichi nuts come to you frozen and freezer burnt - do not order them! The service was wonderful, therefore the 3 stars.

This is a quaint thai/sushi place hidden in a small plaza sandwiched between a locals only pub and an upscale Italian restaurant. It has a very relaxing atmosphere and the waiters/waitress provide excellent service. Everyone greets you when you walk in and bids you farewell as you leave. Sometimes I feel like I am at a 5th grade dance when I sit in there, lately they have been playing this early 90s top 40 mix of music. It's very quirky and humorous. I have experienced a lot on their menu. From their Tom Yum soup to every curry listed, their various thai noodle dishes, sushi and various starters. The Thai food is their stronger suit. The sushi is of good quality, with decent rice to other ingredient ratio, rolled up at a nice size. Only once out of several visits have I been unsatisfied by the sushi. It wasn't bad, just not as fresh as I would have liked. But you always run that risk when going for raw fish. Other than that I am always extremely satisfied. Their dinners may be a bit pricey (10-15) but they are bountiful portions and very delicious. I strongly recommend Musashi.

This is a small, family run place but the food is always first rate. Good Thai and good sushi which isn't always the case with thai/sushi places. I like the Pad Thai and they do a good job with the rolls. Try it, it's good.

Very simply, the quality of the fish I had (on a Friday, if that matters), was sub-par. I eat sushi pretty regularly and definitely know the difference between excellent, fresh fish, and the stuff that's been in the fridge for a couple days. This was the latter. To top it off, it made my intestines angry. You know what I'm talking about. We were meaning to go to Tee-Jay Thai/Sushi but since both are thai/sushi and are near one another we mistook Musashi for Tee-Jay, unfortunately. Given the reviews, Tee-Jay seems to be a far better place. I would have given just one star, but the service and food presentation were excellent. Still, I'd never go back unless I knew I was getting fresh fish (maybe they get their fish on another day of the week?)

I started going to Musashi due to convenience, but fell in love with it from the first time. The salmon is always super fresh, and the sushi is always guaranteed to be delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly, the owner's even more friendly. They're thre everyday, which is a really nice feeling! The thai menu is very good too, but their TGIF sushi roll and salmon lovers roll are my two favorites. The atmosphere is cozy!

Ive been going to this restaurant for over 2 years and this place is very good!!! Its very clean, very nicely decorated and the staff is very friendly. I've been coming here on and off for 10 years now and they're still great and as consistent as they were ten years ago. Don't forget hire fresh their sushi is and always has been. My absolute favorite is their American Dreams Roll. Outstanding to say the least. It had baked conch on top with seafood dynamite. Seaweed salad is always a good starter. Misi soup is a great added plus.

This place is small and quaint but the food is incredible and the portions for dinner are large enough to take home for round 2. The service is great and they tend to all your needs. I fell in love with the Thai Basil Chicken dish that after trying this place once. I was back for a to go order in 2 days. Amazing!

4.5 This is a small Thai restaurant tucked into corner of a shopping plaza. The setting is small and intimate, the restaurant has dim-lighting and flat screens normally playing whatever games are on for the evening. The waitresses are very sweet and welcoming and the prices are fair. For drinks I usually will either do hot sake or strawberry sake. For an appetizer I order the crab Rangoon which has a delicious and comforting flavor. If I don't do that I get the steamed dumplings. They are small and delicate pockets filled with yummy pork and served with a tasty dipping sauce. For an entree you absolutely must try the lobster roll, it is mind blowing. It is served on a boat with tempura battered lobster in the middle. On either side is the lobster roll and on the end is a crunchy lobster salad. If you are feeling very hungry I definitely think the mermaid roll goes well with this as it is light and crisp, which gives the meal a nice contrast. Check it out!

Food is Ok, service is lousy. We ordered chicken yakitori, and was as hard as a rock; complained, and the second time was even worse, there was no way to eat it. Rolls and sashimi were ok, but nothing out of this world. At the end the waiter denied my request of take the chicken out of the bill, even I requested it three times. Servers were so bad and careless that I did not live tip. If you are in the area, look for another option, there are plenty around
